Patch-test before regular use
Wash a small area on the inner arm with the lather, rinse and observe it over the next day. This cannot predict every reaction, but it helps identify obvious sensitivity before wider use.
Do not patch-test on broken or already irritated skin. Stop using the product if marked redness, burning, swelling or itching appears.
How to wash your face or body
Wet your skin and the bar with lukewarm water. Work the soap between clean hands, apply the lather gently and rinse thoroughly. Avoid rubbing the bar aggressively over the face or using rough scrubbers.
Pat the area dry with a clean towel. Follow with a moisturiser suited to your skin, particularly when the weather is dry or you wash frequently.
- Use lukewarm rather than very hot water
- Keep contact time brief
- Rinse away all lather
- Moisturise after cleansing
How often should you use goat milk soap?
Once a day may be enough for dry facial skin. Body, hand and cleansing frequency depends on activity, climate and personal comfort. More washing is not automatically better.
If skin feels persistently tight or itchy, use the bar less often and review the rest of your routine. Introduce only one new product at a time so you can understand how your skin responds.
Store the soap so it lasts longer
Place the bar on a draining soap dish away from standing water. Letting it dry between washes prevents it from becoming soft and helps keep the surface clean.
If several people share a bathroom, keep personal cleansing bars separate and allow air to circulate around them.
